Cats are the most important thing on the internet.

Anyone who remembers their A-Level economics lessons might dimly recall Maslow's hierarchy of needs. For those of you that failed to keep awake at the back of the class, Maslow was an economic theorist who devised a ranking system of human needs, starting with the basic physiological requirements such as food and shelter, building up through friendships and money, culminating in an individual reaching their full potential as a human being - otherwise known as self-actualisation. (Phew - that took me back a few years!)

Some clever person has redefined Maslow's hierarchy in terms of the internet. . . and personally I think it's a pretty accurate description.

It's no surprise that cats are the most important thing on the internet. Especially with the never-ending supply of feline related content available.

Cats are necessary to the well being of a human being because they put the human in their place! They teach us the world does not revolve around us. However, their "cuddle and purr" mode makes us feel very loved. I show mine how much they mean to me with things that bring THEM pleasure like cat toys, cat trees and cat treats.
