Brilliant drink-driving campaign from Brazil
Ogilvy Brazil has scored a blinder with this campaign to stop people from drink driving in Brazil. A bar (Bar Aurora) decided to show its guests the real cost of driving while under the influence. It printed receipts featuring the costs of things like an ambulance, a day in intensive care and an amputation. The drinkers were first of all shocked, then angry and finally delighted:
It reminds me of the Fitness First campaign in Berlin where the gym teamed up with restaurants to print the number of calories contained within various meals on the food bill, along with the number of hours it would take to burn the calories off in the gym.
