Atomisers at dawn

Fragrance advertising encompasses everything for the sublime to the ridiculous, and each year in the run up to Christmas the big fragrance houses go into overdrive to capitalise on the most lucrative trading period of the year. Cream put two of the biggest, Christian Dior and Chanel head to head to see which came out on top.

In the Dior corner, we have the assembled Britflick star power of Jude Law and Guy Ritchie. You remember Guy Ritchie, he's the man who made all those blokey gangster movies and last year's Sherlock Holme film. He was also married to Madonna when she was pretending to be British.

For Chanel we have up-an-coming French star Gaspard Ulliel, and the cinema legend that is Martin Scorcese. Quite how he was convinced to do a perfume ad is anyone's guess. Still it's good to see that brands can still enlist A-list celebrities to work with them.

See how they got on here.
