Game of the week: Krave Krusader
This week's game of the week is from Kellogg's, for Krave. Personally I have issues with Krave, as do (I suspect) a number of parents who might think twice about feeding their children chocolate for breakfast. But nutritional quibbles aside; Krave has launched a very addictive game, Krave Krusader for mobile and Facebook, built by digital production company Unit9.
What is the brand fit? The Krave Krusader character is an animated version of the cereal bites, and the game evokes the 'superhero' style imagery from the packaging. The idea of the Krave character munching on bits of chocolate is replicated from the TV spot for the serial.
Is it any good? As a game, it is engaging - and frustrating and perfect for killing time at work or on the bus. The graphics are neat and simple, and the the game play was smooth. That said, it's no where near as gorgeous as Rainbow Unicorn Attack, which offers the same game but with stunning visuals and a brilliant soundtrack.
Verdict: Brand fit 7/10, gameplay 7/10. It's a good game, with some fun visuals. It isn't as good as other platfrom chasing games, but since you often have to pay for those, it's nice to have such a good version for free. Buying the outfits was a fun touch as well. Play it for yourself here.
