Cereal box becomes 3D console game
Children have always used their imaginations to turn a humble cereal box into some kind of game. I remember when I was a child one of my brother's friends went home to tell his mum that our family had a train in the garden. She assumed we had some incredible miniature train track through our garden and was surprised to hear that my mum had assembled a load of cardboard boxes in a row in the garden and we'd all sat in the different "carriages".
Anyway, I digress. Nestle is being a bit more prescriptive with children's imaginations with its augmented reality cereal box. I know AR can be rather gimmicky, but this version sees the cereal box turned into a 3D video game.
The game is inspired by the film "Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard" by Luc Besson, which opens soon. The packets are due to be released in France next month.
