What if Facebook were offline?

Facebook hits the streets!

People are cool with sharing all their personal information virtually, but when asked to do offline, they are confronted with the reality of being put in the spotlight and panic.

WHY IS THIS ON CREAM? I love how people probably share much more information to many more people on their Facebook page, but when confronted with this reality and asked to publicise that information offline, they panic. Are people really ok with all of this sharing? Does this explain why Facebook's numbers have dwindled in the US?
