Kanye West innermost thoughts set to music

If ever two things dovetailed beautifully, it was Twitter and celebrity. #AplusK (otherwise known as Ashton Kutcher) owes part of his fame to being the first member of the Twitteratti to clock up a million followers, although Lady Gaga has since gone on to dominate the Twittersphere.

Twitter fulfils the fundamental need for celebrities to entertain an audience, without actually having to go through the arduous business of dealing with the public. This might sound like a criticism of the celebrities involved, but far from it. When you’re as famous as Lady Gaga it’s a fact of life that you’re going to attract the attention of a significant number of loons who at best wish to deliver misguided affection, and at worst want to drink their idol’s bathwater.

Twitter is a double edged weapon however, and the celebrity that insists on sharing every thought with their loyal legions has to be prepared for their every thought to be judged and mocked by, well, normal people. We’re looking at you Mr Kanye West, who’s Twitter account has been raided by singer Josh Groban and set to music.

The results are brilliant, and I only hope a musical is in the offing...
