Holy chocolate!

Remember the Jesus in a KitKat hoax from a while ago? Well here's the video explaining it:

Killer water

Water seems fairly innocuous, doesn't it? Well every year unsafe water causes the death of 8m people. To show that such a normal substance can be so lethal, BDDP Unlimited created a wall of water installation on World Water Day. Water was sprayed from a height of around 6 feet at varying pressures to create a message. It read: "I kill more than cancer" and "I kill more than AIDS".

The effect is stunning:

Can someone please tell me what this is all about?

I have no idea, but who needs drugs when you've got things like this on TV:

Take a break from the sun

A great piece of ambient work from the Clare Oliver Challenge for Meter MacCullum Cancer Centre in Australia.

Take a break
Simple yet effective. It reminds me of this WWF campaign and this Koleston campaign.

Cupcakes, but manlier

A New York bakery has come up with a range of cupcakes designed with men in mind. Gone is the glitter and pink puffery of the standard miniature snack. In its place are camouflage, woodgrain and checkerboard icing with flavours including “Rum & Coke” with rum-soaked vanilla cake and cola cream.

Ben Folds exploits his own hype?

Following the buzz around the Pianoman on ChatRoulette last week who we all thought might be Ben Folds (of Five fame, that's Ben Folds Five not Five the 80's family pop catastrophe), during a live show Ben has himself replied to what we think might be his own ChatRoulette film.

Confused? You shouldn't be...

Watch this. Its art.

Unfortunately the video got taken down!

This is the original film (is it Ben, you decide?)

This is a great example of how to respond to (and exploit) a small wave of attention online. A good lesson for brands here. Ben only had a window of a few days to be able to do this and keep it fun and relevant. It must have taken a little bit of planning but it was worth the effort and has made a small show in Charlotte a small global event. Maybe I'm a sentimental old fool but at points I found this quite touching, the way the energy from the live gig can connect with strangers remotely, digitally in binary.

Cats, but slower

Pedigree gave us slow-mo dogs, now Whiskas has responded with, er, slow-motion cats. Enough said.
