Foursquare Venmo mashup
The Gifi app has combined the geo-location services of Foursquare with the mobile payment facilities of Venmo to produce an interesting gifting application. Think of it like real life Grand Theft Auto, but instead of picking up drugs and hookers, you go to specified locations to pick up gifts from friends. Friend looks sad, friend checks into Starbucks using Foursquare, friend is gifted $5 of coffee using Venmo, friend is happy. Does friend use Foursquare, Venmo and Gif,i regularly? Hm, might be a sticking point.
re "Does friend use Foursquare, Venmo and Gif,i regularly?" as long as friend has Forusquare, it doesn't matter. Venmo and Gifi take care of the rest. All friend has to do is checkin!
