Who is suing who in telecoms? (Infographic!)

Whos_suing_whom

Getting sued isn't fun - but finding out about people getting sued is. This infographic reveals the soap opera behind the telecoms industry. It appears that each company is having a go at suing every other company, with Apple getting slapped with lawsuits left, right and centre, while Nokia seems determined to pick a row with any company that operates in the field. It's heart-warming to see such solidarity in the technology sector.

A radical solution to end this would be to work out what all the different dispute amounts are, split the difference of counter claims, and make each company pay another company a fixed fee; say $10m in a kind of perpetual motion settlement scheme.

Some lawyers would be out of pocket, but the number of accountants required to keep the payments shifting around the cycle efficiently should balance out any fluctuations of human capital.

Economic and legal solutions are obviously not Cream's strong point.
